As parents, we always want nothing but the best for our children. But, there may be times when you may have doubts and concerns about your children, especially if they are new born. This is always a complicated situation to be in, but understandably so if you are a first-time parent.
One common concern you may have could be on the topic of bath time for your baby. So, here are three simple tips to make bath time enjoyable for your little bundle of joy:
When your baby is in the bathtub, you should take extra care to watch over them to ensure they don’t drown. This means you should never leave your child unattended alone in the bathtub. In order to do that, make sure you have everything you need ready and by your side. This includes neutral soap, baby shampoo, a water container, cotton towels, comb, clean clothes, bath thermometer, sponge or even bath toys!
Be sure to eliminate any air flow in the bathroom. This is because your baby is exposed, and uncontrolled air flow may cause your baby to catch a cold.
To give your baby a comfortable bath experience, ensure the water temperature is as close to our body temperature as possible. Ideally, the water temperature should range between 35°C and 37°C.
To check the water temperature, use a thermometer, if possible. If not, place your hand above the water to feel if there is any heat. Next, proceed with caution by gently dipping your elbow into the water for 5-10 seconds. If it feels slightly warm, the water is most likely around 37°C.
Keep in mind that bath time is a great opportunity for parents to forge strong bongs with their children, so give them a great bath experience and make them enjoyable and unforgettable with Rheem water heaters!
